Hard to believe that this is the final Newsletter for 2007 . The year has surely slipped by and now its only a few weeks away from the festive season once again. Im pleased to say that Ive had a very busy and successful 2007.
Ive once again received a lot of positive feedback in regards to my New Album " On The Road Vol 2 " from both the public and media.

On Friday night 23rd - Nov Lyn and I headed down to Hexham Bowling for the NSW Gold Medallion Awards night .This was a very successful night for me as I managed to pick up two awards on the night Touring Artist of The Year and also Bush Ballad of the Year for the song off the New Album thats been gaining quite a bit of air play Born & Bred in the Northern Territory.
I also received some more good news a couple of weeks back another song off the album has made a finalist berth in the Duo section at Bungendore A Bushman Cant Survive along with Lynette Guest who for many years has provided harmonies on my recordings.
It was great to have Lynette in the studio to record this song " On the road" weve covered a few miles since the last newsletter, We were in Port Pirie as the last news went to print, I had a show there at the NCMA Club Room which was attended by a very appreciative audience and look forward to returning in 2008.
From Port Pirie we headed for Alice Springs, having a couple of good nights along the way including the Marla Roadhouse and Erldunda Caravan Park . We had a few days to spare in Alice before playing at the markets which again was a top day , where many of the locals and tourists showed their appreciation to the Bush Ballad style of music . Also whilst in Alice , after gaining a pemit from Council I was able to set up and play on the Rotunda in the Todd Mall . Im hoping to do this again in 2008.
From Alice it was on to Camooweal for the Drovers Festival . The festival was a great success again this year . The Ball which was held on the Friday night of the Festival was a great night where those who attended are vowing to return next year . Prior to the Drovers Festival I did a couple of shows at the local watering hole which turned out to to be fun and interesting nights .Theres one thing Ive learned no two nights are ever the same in the outback.
My next port of call was the Nanango Country Muster . With attendance numbers up again on last years muster Nanango is proving to be a very popular festival . Upon arrival we experienced a little unsettled weather . Friday nights main stage looked doubtful earlier in the afternoon with a couple of downpoors but then a break in the sky , the dust settled those in attendance enjoyed a great weekend of festivities again .
Good news is I received comfirmatiom to perform at the 2008 Muster . From Nanango it was back home for a couple of days before boarding a plane to Adelaide for the annual Slim Dusty Tribute Show organised by the Gawler Country Music Club. A huge crowd was on hand to witness a great day songs from the from the late and great Legend Slim Dusty performed by both local and interstate Artists .
From the Adelaide show it was back home again for a quick stop-over to hitch up the caravan and head for the Mildura Festival . Mildura again was a great festival . Not so much for Lyn this year after coming down with a virus which kept her bed riddin midway through the festival .
From Wednesday on Lyn was unable to attend any shows . It took several weeks for her to recuperate fully .
Come the last Saturday I was in the same position myself and had to cancel my last two shows . A special thanks to Doreen Hunter from Singleton who took over looking after the product stand while Lyn was absent also to Colin who became a very priceless Roadie thankyou both . Not feeling 100% we then headed for the Wondara Woolshed Doo . Those who attended enjoyed the weekend . As this was the first Doo no doubt word will get out and this will become a popular weekend on the festivals agenda . My last festival for the year was the Widgee Muster . This was an ejoyable weekend catching up with many fans again , and performing in front of a very appreciative audience .
The Leeton Country Roundup which was held on the 4th November was a great day . A great line-up of Artists entertained the crowd throughout the day including comedian Rodney Vincent who had the crowd in stitches throughout his performace .
Well fans that sums up the touring news for this year . At the moment Lyn is in the process of organising next years tour so well be able to bring you up to date with that next quarter . For those who have internet access you can view the tour guide online at www.tommaxwell.com.au/

METHOD - Sample the bourbon to check quality . Take a large bowl . Re- sample Bourbon to ensure it is of the highest quality.Pour one cup and drink . Add 1 tsp sugar and beat again.Make sure the bourbon is still ok .Cry another tup.Turn on the mixerer.Break 2 eggs and add to the bowl, chuck in the dried fruit.Mix on the turner.
